Tanta City, Gharbia Governorate. Sea Street (which was filled in) in the early twentieth century, 1910 AD.

On the right half of the picture, we can see the minaret of Sayyid al-Badawi Mosque and small, one-story shops, currently located in the location of the Municipal Theater. We can also see the minaret of Sidi Ezz Mosque and the entrance to Borsa Street.

On the left half of the picture, we can see the fish market water tank, Galaa Street, Qantara Street, and the Qantara, after which the street is named.
