This title refers to the Ophthalmology (Eye) Hospital in the city of Assiut, located in Upper Egypt, in 1911, during the reign of Khedive Abbas Helmy II (1892–1914).

This period marked the continued development of modern medical institutions across Egypt, especially in the field of ophthalmology, as eye diseases such as trachoma were widespread in rural and southern regions.
